Good beginnings!

Picture
Hey there!  I was just considering mornings and breakfasts and decided to share this picture.  These are Blueberry Power Muffins from JJ Virgin's "The Virgin Diet Cookbook".  As a health coach I read ALOT of books on diets and the cookbooks that come as a guide for the diet.  This is my newest one that I have been trying out. I always find a few recipes to love and this was one of them, yum yum!  I love breakfast, it is my favorite meal of the day so you can understand when I get upset if eating clean takes the joy out of my breakfast. That is just not acceptable in my world!

I am not the best cook (possibly the biggest understatement ever) so I rely heavily on cookbooks and the internet for my recipes.  I really like JJ Virgin's Cookbook because it takes the top 7 food offenders out of all the recipes, awesome! Just incase you don't know what those are considered to be they are gluten, dairy, peanuts, eggs, corn, soy, sugar and artificial sweeteners. It is vegetarian friendly but can work for everyone else as well.  I also like how it is organized, makes everything really easy to find.

I also have a few breakfasts that I love that are from the detox that I offer.  My one favorite that I have pretty often is chia seed pudding, delicious!!  I will have to post a picture of that at another time! I will share more breakfast ideas over the next few days until then have a good mo

Epsom Salt Baths

Picture
I am not one to take baths, to sit still for 30 minutes even if I am exhausted is impossible for me unless it is to go to sleep or possibly cuddle my children (if they sit still long enough, doesn't happen much). This is not because I don't like to sit still and relax I just always feel there is so much to do.  But I will try almost anything during a detox and this was one of those times.  Obviously it wasn't too hard of a sell for me as opposed to lets say a colonic.  Anyway...

The detox that I am offering that starts on May 5th as well as my DIY programs has the epsom salt baths as an end your day relaxation/detox tool.  It helps eliminate toxins through your skin while adding much needed minerals.  I have done this detox myself of course and this is when I fell in love with this detox tool!  At first it was hard, I was fidgety and restless.  I also think it would help if we had a bigger tub, but after the first ten minutes I finally got my mind to settle down and just relax.  So great!

My suggestions for you if you start this practice along with your detox is to set the mood.  A little candle light and some soft relaxing music.  Quiet is good too for those of you who can get their brains to slow down on your own, I just do not have that skill.  And for those who have children definitely wait until kids are in bed!

Happy soaking!
