Potty Training....ugh!

So Monday my daughter decided she wanted to be a big girl and use the potty all the time, not just when the mood hit her.
While I am grateful for the thought of being done with diapers this has not been fun.  I guess I know it's not suppose to be fun but the fact that she has been highly motivated by a certain Doc Mobile as a present if she is successful has been helpful!  Now I know some would frown upon the use of this kind of motivator but I say it is better than candy every time she goes pee-pee in the potty!  Talk about sugar highs and lows, that was done out of desperation with my son sadly.  It didn't work so it was a fail but a fail forward because this time what we are doing is working! Yay!

I am sharing this because I have basically been stuck in this house for days!  We did go out to dinner last night but that has been it.  In this house...all the time, with two small very energetic children, who do not like to play by themselves..., but I digress.  My point with sharing this is I have not been able to go grocery shopping (or actually not brave enough, there was an incident at a grocery store with my son and number 2 if you know what I mean, very traumatic) so I have been forced to cook.  EEEK!  Like at every meal.  Which I realize I should do but we have our fall backs for long days, that is still cooking but not from absolute scratch.

I tell you, it has been fun, seriously!  I of course have messed up and the kids look at me like I am crazy when I put stuff down in front of them to eat (usually not pretty), but really I forget so easily that I like cooking like this.  It takes longer but there is such a good feeling when you know exactly what is in the food you are eating.  Now yes maybe crepes shouldn't have been my first thing to attempt, especially vegan crepes (and really how do you get those things so thin?).  It's fine, I'm not sure what I did wrong but I will try again tomorrow!

My point is it's easy even for a health coach to get off track, especially when you are busy!  So I am going to dig out some of my easy fast recipes and get back on track!  I will share some of those in the next couple of days in the hopes of maybe helping you slow down your mad rush and enjoy yourself and maybe a little time with your family! (hopefully enjoying your delicious creation and not trying to explain how it all went wrong like I usually have to ;).

Thanx for reading!
